I’m Matt Tompkins and I grew up in Alexandria, LA with a wonderful family who raised me in the Catholic faith. Even through I was a practicing Catholic and would go to Mass once a week, I didn’t get super serious with my faith until I finished college and was several years into my first job. One day, I saw a priest on TV who had a really good and inspirational talk. I watched more and more of his talks and he really got me fired up about my faith. I’ve been working to grow stronger in my faith ever since. I also enjoy volunteering in my local parish community. My wife, Elizabeth, and I currently reside in Lakeland, FL and we have two wonderful boys at home and a girl looking down on us in heaven. I’m not a theologian, but I hope that my one little light will be able to illumine the lives of many people and also help them to grow in their faith as well.
