Jesus gave us a gift so great that we can never repay Him. He opened the path to Heaven and eternal life through His sacrifice on the cross. No matter how stained our souls may be, we can now cleanse them through the sacraments He gave us. He revealed the Father to us and invited us into a deep understanding of who God is. We should pass on His wisdom so His message does not fade, but will grow stronger in the world.
When I have a joyful, fun, or moving experience, I want to tell others about it. I share photos and videos on social media and tell stories to family and friends. We should treat our faith the same way. When we truly live our faith, God works in powerful ways in our lives. We should share those moments so they can strengthen the faith of others.
At every Mass, ordinary bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Jesus. He is truly present before us, both spiritually and physically. That is greater news than anything the media calls breaking news. We often hear stories about lives being saved, but we rarely hear stories about souls saved through conversion or through the sacrament of Reconciliation. Many good and beautiful works go unnoticed.
My younger son has begun singing more at Mass. When he sings, he does so loudly and confidently. Many people prefer to blend into the crowd, but hearing a child proclaim Alleluia with joy and courage melts my heart. People sitting near us have often said that his singing brightened their day.
Jesus tells us to go into the whole world and preach the Gospel. We do not need to go door to door or speak about faith constantly, but each of us should share something faith-related from time to time. We can share a talk from a priest that moved us, a song that touched our hearts, or an experience of helping someone in need. Let us not keep quiet about the moments when God works in our everyday lives, no matter how small they seem. When we share the Good News, we bring light to the world and lead more souls toward Heaven.
