Hi, I’m Matt Tompkins. I was blessed to grow up in a wonderful family that raised me in the Catholic faith. Although I regularly attended Mass and considered myself a practicing Catholic, I didn’t become deeply serious about my faith until after college, several years into my first job.
One day, I happened to see a priest on TV giving an incredibly inspiring talk. His message struck a chord with me, and I began watching more of his talks. That spark led me to pursue a deeper relationship with Christ and a more intentional Catholic life. I’ve been striving to grow in faith ever since.
I enjoy volunteering in my parish community and sharing the joy of the Gospel. My wife, Elizabeth, and I are blessed with two wonderful boys here at home and a daughter who watches over us from heaven.
While I’m not a theologian, I hope the light God has placed in me—my “one little light”—can help illuminate the path for others and encourage them to grow in their faith, too.
